Around 4:00 pm, witnesses say they heard 64 year-old Gary Tripp cry for help as he was circling his boat.
Rescue crews and game wardens rushed to the scene as soon as the call was placed. Three or four divers from the fire department searched the waters as witnesses recounted what they’d seen, all in an effort to find Gary Tripp.
According to game warden Chris Simmons, even with witnesses, finding his exact location is challenging.
Tripp’s wife and children were at the location in Frankfort today hoping for the best, but his body however still hasn’t been found.
Game wardens and divers went back on the scene the first thing Tuesday morning to search again.
