According to Maine State Police, Trooper Timmy Saucier arrived at a residence in Monticello at about threeo’clock Thursdaymorning. When he opened the front door, Saucier was confronted with a shotgun pointed at his face and was forced to flee.
When Saucier then called the residence, he was told by Neal McEachern that he had stabbed his brother, who later escaped from the home and was treated for stab wounds at a local hospital.
Atapproximately one o’clock Thursdayafternoon, a police tactical unit entered the trailer, where they found McEachern’s body. The circumstances of his death were not released.
McEachern had been released from the Aroostook County Jail on Wednesday, where he had been held after being charged with aggravated assault.
The case is under investigation.
