Two Mainers Die in Plane Crash

The two people on board were killed.

The Federal Aviation Administration isn’t releasing their names but say the Piper PA32 plane was Registered to Hartley Marine Services in Boothbay Harbor, Maine.

Air traffic controllers were tracking the plane but lost radio and radar contact with it when it was about 12 miles south of Chester, Connecticut.

Authorities found the plane in a heavily wooded area of Tyringham just after 8 Monday.

The two who died were believed to be the only people on the plane.
