Three suspects have been arrested in connection to the alleged kidnapping, and will make their first court appearance on Thursday.
Veazie police say that they think that the unidentified victim was assaulted by 40-year-old Nicholas Pellon of Massachusetts. She wouldn’t press charges at the time, and Pellon was released from police custody.
The next night, the victim and two female friends went to a barbeque in Veazie, the three were confronted by Pellon and two of his cronies demanding money.
The woman refused to pay them, and according to police, she was beaten and kidnapped by Pellon.
Lisa Castellano, 42 of Veazie, and 34-year-old Jonathan Irwin of Bangor are said to have joined Pellon in the crime. They apparently drove the victim to her parent’s house to get money.
She was able to escape from the house.
Police say the victim’s two friends were also taken captive for part of the night.
The suspects are being held at the Penobscot County Jail on kidnapping charges.
