Maine State Police are out in force this holiday weekend, trying to prevent any more fatal crashes.
Troopers are keeping an eye on things from the air and from the ground, looking for dangerous, aggressive and drunk drivers.
Orono troop commander Lieutenant Wesley Hussey says he expects the next few weeks to be busy ones.
He says July and August are the deadliest months on our roads.
Troopers are urging Mainers to driver responsibly and to build in some extra time to get where you’re going…since you could run into delays in the holiday traffic.
