FORMER BANGOR HIGH AND UMAINE BASKETBALL PLAYER RITA SULLIVAN IS NOW AN ASSISTANT COACH AT UMAINE. CINCY BLODGETT HAS NAMED HER FORMER BLACK BEAR TEAMMATE AS ONE OF HER ASSISTANTS. SULLIVAN WAS A 1000 POINT SCORER IN HIGH SCHOOL AND A TWO TIME CAPTAIN AT UMAINE BEFORE GRADUATING IN 1995. BLODGETT WAS A FRESHMAN WHEN SULLIVAN WAS A SENIOR.

SULLIVAN WAS A STUDENT ASSISTANT COACH AT UMAINE FOR A SHORT TIME AFTER HER PLAYING CAREER ENDED. SINCE THEN SHE’S HELD A NUMBER OF POSITIONS AT VARIOUS LEVELS, FROM YOUTH BASKETBALL TO THE WNBA.
