Most of the former Eastern Fine paper mill in Brewer sits silent, as it has done for the last 3 years. There may be some changes coming in the near future though. Economic development director D’arcy Maine-Boyington says ":about mid-july we’ll start seeing a lot of activity here on the site that will continue on through the fall and probably around the first of november or somewhere in that time, we’ll begin to start seeing demolition of some of the buildings on site.":. All that cleaning and clearing is to make way for a new module manufacturing facility for the Cianbro coproration. Along with the new buildingcomapny leaders are expectingabout 500 new jobs to become available.Main-Boyington feels that while the cleanup will be costly and time consuming she thinks that the new jobs are worth it.
