Quilts For Fallen Soldiers

Under the project quilt sqaures are made for individual soldiers from Maine who have lost their lives fighting for their country in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The quilt grew a little larger over the weekend because of folks at the annual Heritage Day Festival at the Washburn-Norlands Living History Center in Livermore.

The quilt gained an additional 20 sqaures over the weekend. Those squares will be turned over to the state chapter of the Home of the Brave Program, which will sew them together and present them to the families of soldiers who have lost their lives.
