7-8 oz. smoked bluefish, roughly chopped(smoked mackerel or trout work equally well if bluefish isn’t available)
1 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon horseradish
1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
1/3 cup finely chopped or slivered onion
7 oz. softened cream cheese
In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except the cream cheese. Mix well but do not pulverize fish (chunky is good). Fold in softened cream cheese, making sure it’s very soft, to avoid lumps. Garnish with lettuce, lemon and parsley. Serve with crackers or croustades. Also excellent on bagels!
