THE BANGOR BASEBALL TEAM HAS NOT LOST SINCE LAST SEASON….IN THIS STRETCH THE TEAM HAS WON A STATE TITLE AND NOW LOOKING FOR A SECOND STRAIGHT… THEY HAD TO BEAT BREWER IN THE EASTERN MAINE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME FOR ANY SHOT AT A REPEAT.BANGOR WINS IT 4-0. IAN EDWARDS WENT THE FIRST THREE AND JORDAND CLARKE THE LAST FOUR FOR THE SHUTOUT WIN.

PENOBSCOT VALLEY AND SUMNER….BOTH TEAMS WITH ONLY THREE SENIORS EACH. IN THE TOP OF THE SEVENTH…SUMNER OPENS A 5-3 LEAD TO A 10-3 LEAD… CAPPED BY LONA SARGENT’S RBI SINGLE TO LEFT…SENIOR CAPTAIN NICOLE SARGENT WAS VERY EFFECTIVE…THE PITCHER GOES THE DISTANCE…THE 10-4 WIN GIVES SUMNER THE EASTERN MAINE CHAMPIONSHIP WHEN HOLLIE STANWOOD MAKES THE FINAL OUT OF THE GAME.

SEARSPORT AND GSA…THE STAR OF THE GAME…….NATHAN ADAMS…OL’ #12 THROWS A NO-HITTER…SEARSPORT SHUTS DOWN GSA TO WIN 2-0.

SKOWHEGAN BEATS CONY 4-0…THAT MEANS THE NUMBER 12 SEED WILL REPRESENT THE EAST IN THE STATE TITLE GAME.
