The York County Sheriff’s office says 42-year-old Philip Urquhart lead police on a high-speed chase for about 15 miles through three southern Maine towns. The Windham man also rammed a police cruiser.
Urquhart reportedly told troopers he was suicidal, which is the same claim he gave to officers back in April, when he allegedly walked into the Wal*Mart store in Augusta, armed with guns.
Urquhart says he wanted police to shoot him dead.
He had been free on 25-thousand dollars cash bail from that incident. After last night’s chase, Urquhart was taken to a local hospital for evaluation.
