Deadly Weekend 

The holiday weekend is off to a deadly start in Maine with two drownings and three people killed on the highways.

Maine game wardens say two youngsters drowned in separate incidents over the weekend.

In Van Buren Saturday morning, divers recovered the body of a 15-year-old boy who jumped into the Saint John River Friday night and failed to surface.

In Isleboro, wardens say the body of a six-year-old girl was recovered Friday night from a small, man-made pond behind her home.

Police are reporting three highway fatalities this weekend as well.

Troopers say a motorcyclist was killed on the Maine Turnpike Saturday morning in Wells.

Hancock County authorities say there was another fatal motorcycle crash, in Orland, late Friday night.

And 26-year-old woman died from her injuries after her vehicle collided with a moose on Interstate 95 north of Medway Friday night.
