Letter carriers across Maine and the country reached out to help feed the hungry this weekend.
They collected food donations as part of their annual food drive.
This is the 14th year for the program.
Residents were asked to leave canned goods by their mailboxes, and letter carriers collected them while delivering the mail.
The food will be given to local pantries and cupboards.
Last year, letter carriers in Eastern Maine collected more than 100-thousand pounds of food for local shelters and food banks.
