More than two dozen searchers scoured the woods of Canaan Sunday, looking for the remains of Shirley Moon Atwood.
She’s been missing since last summer.
Police have charged her estranged husband, Shannon Atwood, with her murder.
He’s also accused of killing another woman, 38 year old Cheryl Murdock of Waterville, whose body was found in canaan.
Game Wardens, State Police and volunteer searchers spent most of Sunday looking for clues that might lead them to Shirley Moon Atwood’s remains.
More than a dozen k-9s also took part in the search, but so far, nothing’s been found.
Detectives say they’ll now go over the evidence they’ve collected to decide if and when they’ll search again for Atwood’s remains.
