The former ski resort owner has reportedly sold his shares to the team’s other owners.
Otten has been the team’s vice chairman and was part of the group led by John Henry and Tom Werner that bought the Sox five years ago.
Otten says he had a great time, but now has other things in his sights. He’s not commenting on the size of his stake or how much it was sold for.
Earlier this spring, Otten resigned from the board of the American Ski Company, he founded the company which owns Sunday River and Sugarloaf ski resorts.
