Rookie of the Year Teddy Purcell has signed a contract with the
National Hockey League’s Los Angeles Kings.
Purcell, a six-foot-three native of Saint John’s, Newfoundland,
who helped Maine get to the Frozen Four this past season, signed a
multiyear, entry-level contract with the Kings, the team’s General
Manager Dean Lombardi said.
Purcell had 43 points during the 2006-07 season, seven power
play goals, five game-winning goals and 34 penalty minutes.
