(AP) -The Maine Warden Service says there are six boats on the river, divers in the water, searchers on the river banks and a plane and a helicopter overhead.

Alexandria Winship-Wright was last seen around noon yesterday, when her mother said she left the toddler unattended momentarily.

When the mother returned, a sliding glass door leading to the river was open and the girl was nowhere in sight.

Inland Fisheries and Wildlife Department spokesman Mark Latti said one of the girl’s boots was found about 500 feet downstream and a second boot about a mile away from the home.
