Bangor Soldier Dies in War 

Specialist Christopher Wilson was killed on March 29th, while supporting operation enduring freedom.

The Pentagon says the 24-year old died from wounds suffered when a rocket propelled grenade exploded.

The Department of Defense says Wilson was from Bangor, although Governor Baldacci says he actually has a young daughter in Maine, the rest of his family is in Massachusetts.

Wilson is the second solder with ties to Maine to die in a week, while on duty in Afghanistan.

25 year old Sergeant Wayne McDonald was killed in a car crash a day earlier.
