State Spending Book Released

That’s according to the &quot:maine heritage policy center&quot: and &quot:citizens against government waste&quot:.

The two groups met on Thursday at the statehouse to release their 2007 Maine Piglet Book.

The report says there is too much wasteful spending in state government, from landscaping costs to salaries for state employees.

Tarren Bragdon from the heritage policy center says the book offers examples and analysis that would make any taxpayer cringe.
