Child Cancer Support

(WABI) – Melissa Biehn teaches pre-kindergarten in Hermon. When one of her pupils was diagnosed with cancer, Biehn was motivated to help.

So she organized a unique fundraiser.

Biehn signed up folks willing to collect pledges, and then shave their heads.

The &quot:shavees&quot: gathered at the Sea Dog in Bangor Sunday to shear their locks: Biehn included.

More than 20 people were brave enough to go bald for the cause.

Biehn’s goal for the event was to raise two thousand dollars. She more than doubled that Sunday, raising more than 47-hundred dollars.
