(WABI) – Six international flights had to be diverted overall.
The weather left hundreds of travellers stranded at Bangor International Airport Friday night and early Saturday morning. The stormy weather also kept the pilots from landing in Boston and New York.
Because the pilots had to have a mandatory 12-hour layover before flying again, hundreds of passengers were stuck in Bangor most of Saturday.
Some got hotel rooms, but as of Saturday morning, there were about 900 passengers camped out at BIA.
