Several bills are currently in the works in the legislature to add more restrictions on tobacco products.
One measure would re-classify so-called ":little cigars": as cigarettes. That would mean higher taxes on the product, and would require them to have health warnings on the package.
The sponsor of the bill says the change would discourage young people from smoking, and would add upwards of two million dollars a year to the state treasury.
Another proposed bill would ban most kinds of flavored cigars and cigarettes, though menthol would be exempt.
