Maine has been experiencing a propane shortage since early this week, thanks to a canadian rail strike.
On Sunday, Senator Olympia Snowe said she’s been assured by the Canadian Ambassador that at least seven rail cars of propane started moving yesterday.
That’ll mean about a three day supply for Maine.
Maine propane dealers have been rationing their supplies because of the shortage. The folks at Webber energy say they’ll continue to get propane to folks who need it, but they won’t be *filling* tanks until the shortage is over…
