Winter Weather

The icy conditions have sent plenty of cars off local roads, including in Newburgh, where an off-duty ambulance ended up in a ditch.

Though no major problems or injuries have been reported.

State Police say that most folks took the advice to stay home Wednesday. Gerry Waldo at the D.O.T. says that’s been a big help for his crews while they clean up the roadways.

Meanwhile, local businesses that plow driveways are finally seeing some revenue, after a winter that was sorely lacking in the snow.

Commercial plow drivers were out in force Thursday morning, trying to get driveways and parking lots ready for the morning commute.
