Lee Meservie, 42 of orono, is facing charges including theft, reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon, and passing a roadblock.
Police say Meservie stole a truck from the Dysarts truck stop in Hermon Sunday.
Troopers chased him from Bangor all the way up to Orono, Meservie reportedly cut police off and tried to send them into the guardrails along the way.
The chase came to an end finally ended when Meservie ran across spike mats and slammed into a utility pole in Orono.
Meservie will have to come up with $50,000 worth or property or ten thousand dollars in cash in order to be released on bail.
