Maine Hockey in Poll

The Maine hockey team has risen up the ranks in this week’s two national college hockey polls.

The Black Bears rose from seventh to fifth in the U-S College Hockey Online poll, and from eighth to seventh in the U-S-A Today/U-S-A Hockey Magazine poll.

The team was helped by its two wins over Vermont despite being without their starting goalie Ben Bishop last weekend. Maine is now tied for third place in Hockey east.

Both polls rank Notre Dame as Number One, followed by Minnesota and New Hampshire.
