(AP)- Maine’s governor is going to the Web Friday night to sell his school consolidation plan.
Governor John Baldacci and Education Commissioner Susan Gendron will participate in a live interactive video Web broadcast to discuss the school plan and answer questions about how it will be implemented.
The governor wants to slash the number of school districts in
Maine from 152 to 26, and create local advisory councils to voice local school concerns.
Baldacci and Gendron will take questions submitted by
e-mail during the Webcast, which is scheduled for 6:30 to 7:30 p-m.
