CASSIE COOPER IS HOPING TO BE BACK PLAYING FOR THE CONY BASKETBALL TEAM BY TOURNAMENT TIME.
COOPER HURT HER ANKLE LAST MONTH AND IT TURNED OUT TO BE MORE THAN A SPRAIN. HER DAD BRUCE TOLD US TODAY THAT SHE HAS A BONE BRUISE, BUT AN MRI YESTERDAY SHOWED NO OTHER DAMAGE.
THE GOOD NEWS IS THAT COOPER PARTICIPATED IN PRE-GAME WARMUPS BEFORE LAST NIGHTS GAME.

CALAIS HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL HAD ITS APPEAL DENIED TODAY FOR STARTING A VARSITY SCHEDULE THIS FALL.
THE APPEAL WAS MADE TO THE INTERSCHOOLASTIC COMMITTEE AND CALAIS WAS ADVISED AGAIN THAT THEY’LL NEED TO COMPETE IN MAINE WITH A JV SCHEDULE FOR TWO YEARS.
CALAIS HAD BEEN PLAYING AGAINST CANADIEN TEAMS IN A 15 AND UNDER LEAGUE.
