Quick police work is being credited with the arrest of a 17-year-old accused of robbing the Rite Aid store on Union Street in Bangor Monday afternoon.
It all started at around 4:15pm, when the suspect apparently had a finger under his coat, implying he had a weapon. Workers in the store gave the robber an undisclosed amount of cash.
A customer reportedly called 911, police say that call came in at 4:20.
Officers converged on the area as the suspect was leaving the store, and he was arrested about two minutes later.
The teenager, who’s from the Bangor area, is being held at the youth correctional facility in Charleston this morning.
