(AP) – A Dover-Foxcroft man faces an aggravated assault charge for allegedly burning a 4-year-old boy with cigarettes.
Eighteen-year-old Joshua Nanney was arrested Sunday after the boy’s mother took her son to the hospital late Saturday night. Police said Nanney had been residing with the mother.
Dover-Foxcroft police Chief Dennis Dyer said the boy had burns behind an ear and on an arm and a leg.
Dyer said Nanney admitted to accidentally burning the boy behind the ear when the boy bumped into the cigarette, but denied knowledge of the other burns.
