(AP) – Maine’s real estate market had slumping sales in 2006, but the median sales price remained flat for the year.
That’s according to year-end statistics released today by the Maine Association of Realtors, which tracks sales of homes by licensed real estate agents.
The Realtors association says that 13,359 homes were sold in Maine last year, down seven percent from 2005.
The median sales price of those homes was just over $192,000. That’s an increase of less than one percent from a year earlier.
Home sales in Cumberland County, fell eight percent last year. But the median price remained the same, at $250,000.
