Muddy Rudder’s Cranberry Sauce 

2 cups cranberries
Zest of 1 orange
Meat of 1 orange, chopped
1 cinnamon stick
cup brown sugar
cup port wine
1 cup orange juice
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon water

In a small saucepan, combine cranberries, orange zest, port wine, sugar and cinnamon. Cook until cranberries are tender (about 1 hour). Add the meat of 1 orange.

When cranberries are tender, add slurry (1 tablespoon cornstarch and 1 tablespoon water) until sauce thickens. Make sure to mix the water and cornstarch together before adding them to the cranberry sauce. Adjust sugar to taste.
