(WABI) – There’s more good news on the heating oil front.
The state energy office says prices for number-two heating oil in Maine dropped two cents a gallon over the past week. They now stand at two dollars and 21 cents, which is 17 cents lower than last year at this time.
Officials say there was a wide range of prices around the state. The low of a dollar-86 was found at a dealer in northern Maine, while the highest price, two-43, showed up in the eastern region.
Kerosene prices were unchanged at two-63 a gallon, while propane for domestic heating was two-34, or four cents higher than the previous week.
