No Ice

Most of Maine’s lakes and ponds are still un-safe to walk on. Game wardens tell us the recent storm and cold temperatures might be giving false impressions that the ice is strong enough to go out on. But they re-iterate that there is still plenty of thin ice in the area.

Some folks went out on Sabbath Day lake in New Gloucester over the weekend. They stayed near the shoreline, which freezes faster, and is considered safer.
