UMaine hockey signs a Mainer

THE UMAINE HOCKEY TEAM ALWAYS LOOKING FOR NEW TALENT AND THEY ARE PLEASED TO SAY THAT 16 YEAR OLD MAINER MARK ANTHOINE HAS COMMITTED TO PLAY FOR THE BLACKBEARS.

HE WON’T BE ON CAMPUS UNTIL AT LEAST THE FALL OF 2008 MAYBE 2009….BY THE TIME HE BECOMES A BLACK BEAR, THE LONE MAINER ON THE ROSTER MATT DUFFY, MAY HAVE GRADUATED.
ANTHOINE HAS SCORED 30 GOALS IN 30 GAMES THIS SEASON AND IS PROVING TO BE A VERY GOOD TWO WAY PLAYER.

HE PLAYED TWO YEARS OF HIGH SCHOOL HOCKEY BEFORE OPTING FOR THE LONGER SEASON OF THE PORTLAND JR. PIRATES.
ANTHOINE COMMITTED TO UMAINE AFTER VISITING CAMPUS AND WATCHING THE B-U SERIES IN ORONO.
