Residents will soon be able to discuss the Governor John Baldacci’s proposed education consolidation plan at three public forums.
The plan calls for reducing the number of school administrative districts from 152 down to 26. There would also be a principal in every school and a 17 to 1 student to teacher ratio.
The first public forum on the proposal will be held Wednesday night at the Brewer Auditorium, the second will be held on Thursday at the Alamo Theatre in Bucksport.
Both will start at 6:30pm, and are set to run until 8:30.
The third forum will be held on Monday, January 22nd, at Mount Desert High School, beginning at 7pm.
