Etna House Fire

Authorities have recovered what they believe to be the body of the missing woman whose farmhouse was destroyed by fire early this morning in Etna.

The state Fire Marshal’s Office says the two-story house was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived shortly after one a-m on the Old County Road.

A team of fire marshal investigators, aided by excavating equipment, dug through the fire rubble. Steve McCausland of the Public Safety Department said the body was found around two o’clock this afternoon.
