A U.S. Airforce plane had a smoky landing in Bangor today.
Airport Director Rebecca Hupp says a KC-135 Fuel Tanker was trying to land, but hydraulic fluid started to leak.
She says that caused the aircraft’s landing gear to smoke.
Bangor Firefighters waited on the runway to make sure the plane landed safely and it did.
Hupp says a military crew was on-board at the time and no one was injured.
Hupp says the leaking fluid isn’t uncommon.
