Some anti war protestors say they knew they might end up spending time in jail and today they learned that’s exactly what will happen.
A dozen protestors were arrested in September when they refused to leave Senator Snowe’s office in Bangor.
They say they wanted the Senator to join them in calling for an end to the fighting in Iraq. That didn’t happen, but the protestors did manage to get their message out to the masses.
The half dozen protestors who appeared in court today all received a sentence of 24-hours in jail and an 80-dollar fine. Some members of the original group had already received their sentences.
