Maine men a winner over UMF
Junior Bernal scored 14 points and Maine rode a 27-nothing run in the first half to beat Maine-Farmington 75-to-34 tonight in Orono.
Maine-Farmington, a Division III team, led 11-to-5 on three
3-pointers early in the game. But the Black Bears responded with a 27-0 run to take control. Bernal scored nine points in the stretch during which the Beavers went 9:25 without a point.

Kevin Reed added 13 points and Chris Bruff had 10 points and
five rebounds to key a 12-nothing run that gave the Black Bears a
47-18 halftime lead. Farmington couldn’t close the gap in the second half, trailing by as many as 41.

Maine is now 5-and-5 on the season.
